THANK YOU JESUS!

It seemed like He was unimportant because He was born in a small unimportant town, not a big city. He was born in a stable, not a palace. He was laid in a manger, not a fine bed. He was a carpenter not a famous statesman. He had a small group of friends, not a great army. And worst of all, He was killed like a common criminal on a cross.

But many things are not what they seem. He was the Son of God, the Savior of the world. He rose from the dead. He is alive today and rules over the world and King of kings and Lord of lords. And everyone who trusts in Him will have all their sins forgiven, and will be able to say,

When things don’t go the way they should
God always makes them turn for good.

Baptism: Leading your child to the Next Step!

As a parent, God has given you the primary role of nurturing the faith of your child. Use the following discussion points to lead your child in his or her next step—baptism.

Once you have committed to following Jesus, you need to let others know by being baptized. The Bible is clear that once we start following Jesus, our next step is to be baptized. (Mark 16:16)
Baptism takes place in the water. It is a picture of what Jesus did when He took the punishment for your sins. As you go under the water, you show others you believe Jesus died for you. When you come up out of the water, you show others you believe that God raised Jesus back to life. You have a new life because of Jesus! (Romans 6:4)
Getting saved and then baptized does not mean you will always live a perfect life. There will be times in your life when you will sin and make wrong choices. When this happens, you should pray and ask Jesus to forgive you. Even though you will mess up, you can know that Jesus died one time for the forgiveness of ALL our past, present and future sins. That means even though you will sin again, you do not need to be saved or baptized another time. (1 Peter 3:18)
You can continue following Jesus by reading your Bible, doing what Jesus says and praying every day. (Psalm 1:2)

GAME CHANGER: HEBREWS 11:6 - And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him

We are continuing our study through the book of Acts and the life of Paul!

Paul gives us a great example of what it means to walk by faith and trust God no matter what.

The bible tells us that we are saved by grace through faith. (Ephesians 2:8)

Faith has two ingredients: (1) believe that God exist and (2) sincerely seeking Him (Hebrews 11:6).

Their is a story about Jesus and the disciples on a boat. A storm came a brewing while Jesus was asleep. The storm got out of control, the disciples were freaking out, and went to wake Jesus. Jesus got up and said something very interesting. He didn’t say “watch what I can do” or “hey I have everything under control.” No, but Jesus said this, “O you of little faith.” (Matthew 8:23-27)

It is by faith that God chooses to work through us and do great things!

Water and Faith are similar. A water gun is no fun and will not work without water and in the same way, it is impossible to please God without faith.

Put your faith in Jesus! Walk by faith daily! And trust God no matter what! Allow God to work in and through you to change the world!

If you let something become more important to you than God, it becomes your idol. An idol will keep you from worshiping God in the way that you should.

From Genesis to Revelation we see God’s love letter!

We see that God never does anything accidentally, and He never makes mistakes!

Every plant and every animal was planned by God, and every person was designed with a purpose in mind!

The Bible says, “Long before He laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, and had settled on us as the focus of His love (Ephesians 1:4)

Do you know that you were created ON purpose, WITH a purpose, and FOR a purpose???

Did you know you were created as a special object of God’s love???

There is a God who made you FOR A REASON, and your life has profound meaning!

We discover that meaning and purpose only when we make God the center of our lives!

Sometimes God’s answer is yes.
When God answers yes, you see the answer right away. Example: When you ask mom for a cookie and she gives you one.
Sometimes God’s answer is wait.
He does not mean you should stop praying. God knows the very best time and way to answer your prayer. Example: You ask mom for a cookie and she tells you, you must wait until after dinner. She knows you won’t eat the food that’s good for you if you eat the cookie first.
Sometimes God’s answer is no.
When God answers no we must trust that because He is God, He knows best. He is not mad at you or punishing you. Example: You ask mom for a cookie and she says no. Maybe because you’re sick, or she’s making an even better dessert.

Trusting God in all circumstances so we may be ready to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in good or bad times.

Do not wait for times that are comfortable to speak of Jesus; ask God to make you ready to share about Him any time. He will be faithful to prepare you for anything!

Put your trust in God and He will protect you and lead you in and out of season!
